Havia uma fila meio louca, numa galeria meio louca, uma irreverência permitida pelo (porventura) mais snobe bairro da cidade.

Sublime, o ambiente de instalação, mal nos intrometemos na primeira sala.

Como se tivéssemos subitamente atravessado o canal da mancha pelas paredes do túnel, uma breve visita ao castelo de Hogwarts e um encontro imediato com o Conde Valdemort.
Senti saudades do espírito do Potter!

HERMÈS WANDERLAND.

“Flânerie, that wonderfully liberating art of urban wandering, is second nature to Hermès, one could even say our most profound nature”, recounts Pierre-Alexis Dumas, the house’s Artistic Director and sixth generation member, evoking the 2015 Hermès theme. 

Quintessentially Parisian, flânerie is about revelling in the unexpected. “The journey through Wanderland draws its coherence from two intrinsic elements of la flânerie: dreaming and freedom of spirit”, explains Bruno Gaudichon, curator of La Piscine-Musée d'Art et d'Industrie in Roubaix, who was commissioned to create the exhibition. 

Set designer Hubert le Gall plunges visitors, the flâneurs themselves, into a dream world of joy and fantasy, with a Paris-inspired landscape as its backdrop. The eleven rooms present a series of installations in various media, created by a diverse selection of artists. From the Parisian square, to the covered passage, or a cafe of forgotten objects this veritable extended cabinet of curiosities will delight and intrigue visitors, inviting each of them to open their eyes, free their minds and be enveloped by the colour, sounds and images that surround them. 

Objects on display have been carefully and lovingly gathered from the Hermès archive, the museum collection of Emile Hermès at 24 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris and Hermès’ contemporary collections: a bike, a bag, a pair of boots, a travel writing case, a card deck, a watch from the house’s collection… The spirit of the 'Flâneur' is at the heart of Hermès' creations and its inspiration.

Saatchi Gallery, primeira preciosidade não convencional no bairro snobe de Chelsea.

Não podia haver entrada mais triunfante: retratos e arte pictórica do apogeu à (vertiginosa) queda do império soviético. Tão inquietante e vernáculo cru que fere, nudez e decadência humana, resultado da implosão do império. Ucrânia, 1998, e a falta de referências deixa uma civilização à beira da insana loucura.

Mas uma das obrigações das Babilónias civilizacionais é espelhar o mundo nos seus palácios, nas suas galerias, nas ruas (que circulam em sentido contrário) com sotaque e pedigree que se misturam com o verde dos jardins e as correntes de ar que se enrolam como tornados nos pátios vitorianos.

E visitar Londres somente para inspirar dos vapores elitistas, típica e insularmente britânicos, é redutor.

Visita-se Londres como quem abre uma janela para o mundo, com a vantagem de que, normalmente, as cenas de horror não deixam de ser virtuais e convenientemente dispostos em salas de arte contemporânea ou experimental

Depois deste cenário dantesco e fantástico de expressão de arte contemporânea, só uma visita ao Buckingham Palace pelo gelado anoitecer londrino, poderia ser mais disruptivo e insano.
